Welcome to the CNYTEA website. We are the Region 9 Technology Education Association in Central New York. This website is designed to help Technology Educators network, know about upcoming professional development opportunities and obtain resources for many technology education courses.
This website will begin to explore the many different areas of Technology Education and hope that you will add to this site. The strength on the site depends on the content and please feel free to send anything you think that will make this site better. Any suggestions, lessons, worksheets, etc...will be posted or made part of the site. All materials posted to the site will be free and used by other Technology Educators and all we ask is that they give you proper attribution for the work.

Oswego Update Project & Best of the Motherlode Last Update 12/4/06
The Oswego Update Projects, Versions 1 & 2, are posted under the Curriculum Materials tab. These are curriculum projects in 2004 and 2006 by Dr. William Waite, Professor at SUNY- Oswego, with over three dozen graduate researchers. Using the 1980s NY State Education Department course outlines as a base, 23 high school courses were updated, as was the middle school "Bluebook". Current bibliographies, activites, web inks, resources, and technology were used in an extensive view of "best practice" schools contacted throughout this period of time.
The middle school update includes 14 new activites, presented in a PowerPoint format (for teacher communication, not for lessons), with many digital pictures to help teachers grasp the logistics of these laboratory activities.
